Physical therapy care emphasizes the optimization of movement, function, and performance while decreasing and preventing pain and injury. The goal of PT is for you to achieve the highest level of movement possible to function and succeed in daily life, whether that means improving sports performance, tolerance to activities like standing or walking, helping you return to exercise safely, or being able to pick up and hold your little ones. PT is a helpful treatment option if you have pain or limitation with activities you enjoy that may or may not be caused by an injury, accident, health condition, surgery, or by overuse, poor movement patterns, weakness of muscles that provide stability and protection of joints.

Your physical therapist will perform a thorough analysis of your movement, posture, strength, and mobility to identify areas of weakness, restriction, and potential sources of pain. You will be provided with exercises as well as alternative ways to perform daily activities such as sitting, standing, and functional movements to address these findings, reduce pain, and optimize your quality of life by improving the way you feel with everything you do.

I was first introduced to pelvic PT because my parents are both French. My mom had my brother there and received pelvic PT just like every other woman does. It’s not surprising that she was upset by the lack of care for new mothers after she had me in the states. Since then, I have been fascinated by the human body and the resilience it has. I am so happy to be sharing my passion in this clinic and learning so much along the way!

I discovered the profession of physical therapy through my background as a competitive cheerleader. When competing at the collegiate level I had many friends and teammates get injuries that required physical therapy. I was so amazed that going to physical therapy was able to help them heal and return to doing what they loved through exercise. What I love most about physical therapy is teaching my patients about their bodies and giving them the tools to heal their own body while providing support in their journey to optimal health. I decided to specialize in pelvic health because it’s an area of the body that is responsible for so many functions but it is often not an area that is discussed. I was tired of hearing so many stories of people living in pain, discomfort and shame related to pelvic floor dysfunction thinking there were no other options or that their symptoms were “normal”. And that just isn’t the case, everyone deserves to live their best life!

I was first introduced to physical therapy as a high school cross country runner with a knee injury. The injury itself was not my favorite experience, but my physical therapist was such an amazing support and resource for me and I was inspired to do the same for others one day. I became passionate specifically about pelvic health physical therapy when I started a pelvic health program at the clinic I was working at, and realized how impactful and needed this was for so many individuals. I help people working through any kind of pain or injury using a full body, multifaceted approach incorporating different aspects of wellness. Every person deserves to feel their best, empowered and confident in themselves and I enjoy being someone who can help with that in any way!
